¿Are you practicing the best yoga for you?
An individual practice is very different than a groupal class. In this Tradition we believe in the power of yoga to support healing, reduce symptoms, managing illness, and maintain health. Yoga Baires offers developmental and therapeutic Yoga programs that address the needs of the whole person according to the individual’s capability and interest and that specifically seek to empower each students in their own healing and wellness processes.
We work with people & health care providers to help:
- Reduce symptoms
- Manage illness
- Promote healing
- Support lifestyle changes
- Manage chronic disease
Some of the conditions that yoga therapy can help alleviate (in conjunction with prescribed treatment from a healthcare provider) are:
- Scoliosis and sciatica
- Chronic back and neck pain
- Chronic headaches/migraines
- More serious illnesses (Cancer, Diabetes,etc)
Yoga programs may include (depending on the client) any one or more of the following:
- Gentle movement
- Conscious breathing
- Meditative practices
- Guided self inquiry
How do we work in Private Consultation?
First Session (apx. 90 minutes): You will have an appointment with one of our senior yoga therapists to assess your needs and provide an initial yoga therapy program.
- The therapist designs and monitors a course to address the student’s needs, abilities, situation and therapeutic and/or wellness goals.
Second Session (apx. 90 minutes): This follow up consultation occurs within 7 days of the first session. Yoga Therapist and student review program and make any needed adjustments.
Follow-up Sessions: Yoga Baires encourages students to have 4 to 6 appointments in order to review progress and refine and modify practices, as required. These sessions can be 45 to 90 minutes. The follow up sessions should occur at regular intervals as determined by teacher and student.
